Arts & Technology Academy at Jefferson

Design work is progressing for the former Jefferson school building, which currently houses Arts & Technology Academy middle school and the Family School K–8 program. It will be significantly renovated and reconstructed in place, retaining some parts of the old building. It's all thanks to voters who last year approved the 4J bond measure to provide better learning environments and materials for our students.

Two public meeting were held in the Fall of 2014 during the Schematic Design Phase, one on September 30th and the other on December 9th. These meetings provided an opportunity to share site and building design concepts with the public and to get public input on the design of the reconstruction and renovation. Both meetings were well attended by neighbors and student families who all had constructive comments and creative ideas to share.  Take a look at the Design Progress tab above to link to images of the designs presented at each meeting.

STEM Immersion Program now at Arts & Technology Academy

The Arts & Technology Academy began an exciting and innovative new STEM immersion program that integrates science, technology, engineering, math and the arts.  This new curriculum program is the prime element in the design and layout of the building.  See more about this program on the About tab.
